Y Mentors is a community based mentoring program serving youth grades K-12, with caring adult volunteers. Each adult volunteer is matched with one youth, based on similar interests. To enhance the mentoring experience, Y Mentors provides on-going support, free monthly activities, and community and YMCA resources to foster long-term quality relationships. Our mentors offer their friendship and guidance to build a healthy mind, body and spirit in their mentee. We serve 100-150 youth annually and have around 30 youth on our waiting list currently; 85% of the waiting list is boys so we are in desperate need of male mentors.
